PURPOSE: To obtain the dyed fiber having a color similar to that of a dyed silk product by fixing a natural protein to a synthetic fiber and subsequently dyeing the treated fiber with a natural dyestuff. CONSTITUTION: An aqueous treating solution is prepared from a natural protein selected from the group of fibroin, sericin, keratin, collagen and gelatin, preferably sericin, and a crosslinking agent such as glutar aldehyde. A synthetic fiber such as a solution, squeezed to remove the excessive treating solution, dried, and subsequently dyed with a natural dyestuff originated from an animal or plant. |
