<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the perfectibility of a packet order in a switching engine by providing a step, etc., for checking whether another packet from the same source is pending within a processor array before transferring an arriving packet to the processor array. SOLUTION: A packet is received by an input controller on a physical input (S810) to read a bit mask (S820). Next, it is decided whether a bit within a mask is set or not (S830). When the bit within the mask is set, this source is presently committed and in order to remove all the problem of the packet order, this packet is transferred to a physical element to which the bit is set (S840). In this process, whether another packet from the same source is pending with the processing element or not is checked before transferring the arriving packet to a processor array.</p> |
