PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable smooth automatic opening and closing of an opening and closing body by reducing abutting noise, rubbing noise and resistance generating due to suction of a gear in an opening and closing device for the opening and closing body. SOLUTION: In this opening and closing device for the opening and closing body, the opening and closing body pivoted on a car body to be opened and closed is opened and closed by a motor through a reducing gear 10 meshing with an electromagnetic clutch 8 and a gear 22 of the electromagnetic clutch 8. At least either the gear 22 of the electromagnetic clutch 8 or the reducing gear 10 is a non-magnetic body. |
