PURPOSE:To obtain a small-size microwave oscillator featuring the easy control by forming the low band pass filter inside the waveguide wall immediately before the central conductor emerges outside the waveguide and then applying the biss voltage to the Gunn diode through the central conductor. CONSTITUTION:Waveguide 17 feature a unified structure with oscillation part case 18. Gunn diode 20 is attached between the bottom inner wall of case 18 and central conductor 19, and the other end of conductor 19 is extended to pierce through vertically the H-face of waveguide 17. In this case, dielectrics 21 and 22 are filled to avoid a direct contact between conductor 19 and the wall of waveguide 17. At the same time, the coaxial low band pass filter is formed with stub 23 of conductor 19, dielectric 22 and the wall of waveguide 17 each and inside the wall of the waveguide immediately before conductor 19 emerges outside waveguide 17. And thus the bias voltage is applied to diode 20 from terminal 24 via conductor 19. |
