PURPOSE: To prevent color mixing at priming a multicolor ink jet pen. CONSTITUTION: In the vicinities of orifices 64, 66, 68 to jet out each color ink, suction tubes 110, 124, 132 connected to a vacuum source 120 are placed to prevent inks jetted out through orifices from mutually mixing together. The negative pressure in the filling chamber 152 is controlled to reduce the ink volumes during priming. |
