<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for correcting a faulty pixel of a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: A laser beam is emitted to an inside end face of a window part of a faulty pixel via a lens 22. Thereby, the inside end face of the window consisting of a glass material or the like is destroyed by laser energy, the glass material or the like is scattered, adhered, and laminated on at least a surface of a discharge electrode 10 to be an insulation film. Since this insulation film inhibits generation of discharge plasma in a cell space, the faulty pixel after correction is always set to a black display state, and even if another normal image is light-emitted, it is not outstanding.</p> |
