The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for simulating an energy grid which is used in developing various energy information process services as an energy-information technology (IT) convergence technology advances. An energy grid simulating apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention can comprise: an energy grid service simulation layer module; an energy information processing protocol simulation layer module; an energy object simulation layer module which controls functions and interfaces for at least one energy facility and an appliance constituting an energy grid system; and an energy grid service verification and analysis tool module. According to an embodiment of the present invention, components constituting an energy grid are classified in layers, and energy elements in respective layers are modeled. Also, since data is transmitted mutually through various control and data sharing standard protocols, there is provided a method for evaluating interface functions and service suitability among energy grid elements.
