PURPOSE:To efficiently supply hot water of an appropriate temperature and of a high temperature, by a method wherein two heat exchangers for supplying hot water are connected in series with each other, one of the heat exchangers is used primarily for exchanging heat in a liquid range and a two-phase range of a condensing process in a refrigerating cycle, and the other is used primarily for exchanging heat in a gas range. CONSTITUTION:A hot water storing tank 1 is so connected as to store hot water generated by heating water by the heat exchanger 4 for supplying hot water provided in an exterior unit 2. The unit 2 is so constructed that a refrigerant discharged from a compressor 3 is circulated in the order of the heat exchanger 4, a throttling mechanism 6 and an exterior-side heat exchanger 5. The heat exchanger 4 comprises the first and second heat exchangers 4a, 4b connected in series with each other to exchange heat between water fed from the tank 1 and the refrigerant. The first heat exchanger 4a is controlled by a temperature- regulating valve 10a so as to perform a heat-exchanging operation in the liquid range and the two-phase range of the condensing process in the refrigerating cycle, while the second heat exchanger 4b is controlled by a temperature-regulating valve 10b so as to perform a heat-exchanging operation in the gas range. |
