PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner recycling device capable of preventing the fog in an image, scattering of toner, etc., by supplying toner to a developing device, in a state that the mixing ratio of recycled toner to virgin toner is almost constant, without being affected by the remaining amount of the virgin toner. SOLUTION: The toner recycling device is provided with remaining amount detecting sensors (a), (b) and (c) which are attached to a main hopper 13 for storing the virgin toner and detect its amount in the main hopper 13, a carrying mechanism for recovering the toner remaining on a photoreceptor drum 1 after the image is transferred by a cleaning part 9 and carrying the toner as the recycled toner to an auxiliary hopper 11, shown by an arrow B and further, a carrying spiral 12 for carrying the recycled toner from the auxiliary hopper 11 to the main hopper 13. In such a case, the carrying amount of the recycled toner carried to the main hopper 13 by the carrying spiral 12 is controlled in accordance with the amount of the virgin toner in the main hopper 13 detected by the remaining amount detecting sensors (a), (b) and (c). |
