SOLUTION: Light emitting elements G, B, R with different colors are arranged on a substrates 11, 12 as a projector illumination light source, and at least two colors light emitting elements G, B are controlled so as to light emit in different time bands on the time base, and liquid crystal drive type space modulation elements 13, 17 forming images answering to respective color beams are arranged on its optical path.
