PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink supplier for a printing press which is capable of forming an ink film more optimum compared with the case of a conventional ink supplier on an ink roller before starting printing, so that the number of waste paper and a necessary time until the printing arrives at a stationary printing condition can be reduced at all times regardless of the pattern of a printing plate. SOLUTION: In the ink supplier for a printing press, which previously forms the ink film, whose thickness is distributed in the axial direction of the printing plate in accordance with a pattern before starting printing, a pattern area rate of each ink pot key zones is inputted and the average value of the pattern area rates of the whole of the printing plate is operated from the inputted pattern area rate, while the amount of ink sent to the ink roller from the ink port upon forming the ink film before starting the printing is controlled based on the average value of the inputted pattern area rates of each ink pot zones and the operated pattern area rate of the whole of the printing plate. |
