PURPOSE:To eliminate the difference of interference color due to the difference of liquid crystal cell gap by using a color filter where the film thickness difference from the surface of a substrate is <=0.3mum. CONSTITUTION:A dying substrate is coated on a glass substrate or a substrate with a transparent electrode, and all of the surface is exposed to light and is left, and a positive resist is applied on it, and a part to be dyed is exposed and developed and is removed, and it is dyed thereafter. This process is repeated three times, and finally, the resist is peeled and a protective film is formed to complete the color filter. In this color filter, the film thickness difference is <=0.3mum. Thus, the appearance difference due to the interference color of each picture element is eliminated, and a uniform cell gap is secured, and further, a panel of no response variance is obtained. |
