Driving system for overhead conveyor - consists of endless belt with bristles which grip conveyor carriage
摘要
The overhead conveyor has a rail (1) formed by a hollow square section which is mounted so that its side surfaces (2) are inclined at 45 deg. The upper surfaces (2) form rails for a carriage (14) which is supported on rollers (20). The carriage (14) is driven by an endless belt (6) which runs inside a hollow plastic section (17) with a longitudinal slit (9) in its undersurface. The carriage (14) consists of two U-shaped (13) which support the ends of a beam (16). The endless belt (6) has bristles (10) which project downwards through the slit (9) in the plastic section (7), and grip lugs (12) which project upwards from the frames (13) into the slit (9). In the event of the carriage being held stationary the bristles (10) slip over the lugs so that the belt (6) continues to move. USE/ADVANTAGE - The bristles act as a slipping clutch on the endless drive belt or a carriage conveyor system.
