PURPOSE: A driving method of plasma display panel is provided to improve contrast by dispersing the reset discharge to make the wall charge condition of the plasma display panel uniform by periods. CONSTITUTION: A reset pulse(Vr) makes the wall charge condition in all pixels uniform. A scan pulse(Vsc) appoints cells. An address pulse(Vd) supplies data. A multiplicity of pixels are allocated to a multiplicity of sub fields. The multiple sub fields comprises a reset period, an address period and a sustain period. The reset period makes the condition of the memory media in the allocated pixels uniform. The address period appoints the address for the pixels, selectively forming the memory media inside the one selected among the multiple pixels. The sustain period illuminates the address appointed pixel. |
