<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process by which a lithium manganese complex oxide having a high filling density is inexpensively mass-produced. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing process of the lithium transition metal oxide includes spray-drying a slurry containing a lithium source and a transition metal source and firing the dried material. In the spray dry process, (1) the slurry is fed in a way to cross the flow of a gas flowing along a smooth surface to form a thin filmy flow of the slurry between the smooth surface and the gas flow, (2) the thin filmy flow is separated from the smooth surface to form liquid drops and (3) the liquid drops are dried. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
