PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the subject polished rice by which a boiled rice is cooked without washing the rice with water by separating and removing the rice bran with a specific device when the brown rice is polished. SOLUTION: An active smoke solution is sprayed on a brown rice by an active smoke solution nebulizer in a trace weight ratio of about 10 ppm and pericarp, seed coat, perisperm, aleurone layer of the brown rice is wetted. The obtained brown rice is subjected to a rice-polishing equipment in the nitrogen atmosphere to remove the free bran by the sieve, and the mixture of the not-removed free bran and the polished rice is subjected to floating fluidized bed equipment to separate and remove the bran by a mutual interfacial friction action of the floating and flowing polished rice by a wind pressure. Further, the small bran which remains in the polished rice is also removed by a bran-separating and eliminating device consisting of an electrifiable felt to provide the objective non-washed delicious polished rice in the method for producing the non-washed polished rice. The active smoke solution spray also has the activities for preventing the oxidation, and the delicious non-washed polished rice with storable duration is obtained. |
