A computer is programmed to rotate the radius vetcor of a point through the smallest angle to reduce the plane to the reference plane, points which follow in sequence also a predetermined line, e.g. centre line, upper line, feather line, the last, being subjected to the same rotation, each point reduced to the reference plane being treated as the origin for the next point and the successive rotations of subsequent points being cumulative. Preferably the whole of the top line is projected onto the reference plane before any of the intermediate lines which extend between the top and feather lines in equally spaced planes are projected. Each intermediate line behind the widest part of the last is preferably rotatable by 90‹ about the part of the top line joining it to the preceding intermediate line, because of the change from the predominantly horizontal to predominantly vertical shape. |
