PURPOSE:To enable availability of high printing quality and high printing speed with a low cost structure by controlling energization of a thermal head per heating element with the use of a correction arithmetic means consisting of a hard logic without software in a thermal printer. CONSTITUTION:If a print OK signal is issued from CPU, a timer is set to 'operation ON' condition and the count is begun. Following this, recording data per a single vertical row corresponding to a heating element is loaded into a correction arithmetic logic part from CPU through a bus controller 2 and a command controller 3. This loaded data is subjected to correction arithmetic processing by a correction method selected through initialization, and an energization time is selected per heating element in accordance with the data to be stored in a memory 5. If the timer 1 finishes the count, a head driver data is output sequentially from the memory 5 through an output controller 6, thus performing the printing. |
