PURPOSE: A method capable of performing short dialing operation by a user by displaying the telephone when an input telephone number is identical with a telephone number stored in a memory of a portable wireless terminal device, wherein a plurality of telephone numbers are stored in the memory, is provided. CONSTITUTION: The short dialing method in a portable wireless terminal device having a memory wherein a plurality of telephone numbers are stored in the memory, the method comprising the steps of: sequentially detecting whether predetermined input numbers are identical with the plurality of telephone numbers; displaying the detected telephone number when one of predetermined input numbers is identical with one the plurality of telephone numbers; and dialing the displayed telephone number when a calling command is inputted.
