[Also in Division G5] The front panel of a housing 10 enclosing a light source 14 includes a frangible opaque sheet 16 (e.g. of black paper) through which a plurality of translucent pegs 18 may be inserted to form in combination an illuminated legend or design. As described, sheet 16 is sandwiched between removable panels 34, 36 having a regular array of aligned perforations 38. In use, a child inserts the pegs 18 according to a pattern of marker dots (40, Fig. 5, not shown) on sheet 16 which delineate e.g. a horse. The pegs and dots may be correspondingly coloured.</p> |
