NOZZLE FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING

PURPOSE:To provide a nozzle for continuous casting in which cracking is not generated and corrosion resistance is not reduced even when the nozzle is applied with a rapid thermal shock and a product is stably cast. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle is manufactured by kneading to form and reduction calcinating a compounded material whose main mineral facies consist of corundum and mulite and constituted with 25 to 80wt.% raw molten material for refractory having a chemical composition of 80 to 96wt.% Al2O3 and 4 to 20wt.% SiO2, and 0 to 40wt.% molten alumina containing 10 to 35wt.% natural graphite, 0 to 25wt.% molten silica and 95wt.% Al2O3 with a binder of resin pitch, etc. Using the nozzle for continuous casting, cracking is not generated and corrosion resistance is not reduced even when it is applied with a rapid thermal shock and the nozzle is repeatedly used for a long time in continuous casting.
