Composition comprising (1) 100 pbw polypropylene having intrinsic viscosity (measured in decalin at 130 degrees C) of 1 to 9 and density 0.80 to 0.92 g/cm3; and (2) 1 to 50 pbw polyisobutylene of av. mol. wt. 500000 to 2000000, in homogeneous dispersion, is suitable for mfre. of product having a cross-sectional surface of 0.02 to 40 mm2 and thickness of 0.01 to 3 mm. The comp. is produced by homogeneously compounding the two components at 170 to 310 degrees C. Tapes are produced by extruding the composition at 170 to 310 degrees C followed by drawing at draw ratio 1:4 to 1:15, the surface temp. of the extrudate being 20 to 150 degrees C. The product is suitable for use e.g. as textile tape or packing strap.
