The present invention pertains to the field of machine-tooling and more precisely to that of variators. The present invention relates a pin variator (Nossov's variator) that comprises a body (1) which can be dismantled into two halves. When the body (1) is dismantled, the shaft (5) and the shaft (10) can be freely removed from said body. The halves of the body (1) are attached together through eyelets (3) using bolts. The body (1) comprises an opening with a plug (15) for pouring oil (12) therein. A drive gear (4) is attached to the shaft (5) by a nut (6). The shaft (5) rotates in the body (1) and is capable of displacement along its axis together with the gear (4) from the end of the disc (7) to the nut (11) using a mechanism (17). The gear (4) transmits rotation to the driven disc (7) as the teeth (13) mesh with the pins (8). The teeth (13) have a predetermined profile, while the pins (8) cover the entire driven disc (7). Each pin (8) is arranged in a housing (14), is biased by a spring (9) and, in order to prevent any riding out of the housing (14), is secured by a flattened base (16). The disc (7) is attached to the shaft (10) by a nut (11), while the shaft (10) is attached in the body (1) so as to prevent any displacement thereof along its axis. All variator parts are arranged in the body (1) and operate in an oil bath.
