Method of producing an electrical bonding wire (2), at least one end of which includes a rigid connection end-piece (5). According to the invention, this method firstly consists in forming a loop (5), by penetration of a pointed tool transversely into the braid near each end which is to include a connection end-piece, then in making this loop undergo a stiffening operation ensuring its shape retention.
