PURPOSE:To suppress increase of resistance on the anode side of a separator base and also reduce the contact resistance with an anode electrode. CONSTITUTION:A separator for high temperature type fuel cell is formed by coating one face of a separator base made of perovskite structure type composite oxide with metallic foil. It can be obtained by applying the metallic foil on one face of the separator base according to its surface shape. It is desirable to stick it strongly by CIP method, by forming folds on the metallic foil along the surface form of the separator base beforehand, or by interposing adhesive agent. In the high temperature type fuel cell in which the separator is incorporated, the resistance of a whole cell is suppressed and thus a high output and excellent cell performance can be provided. |
