<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of securely assuring a temperature necessary in an aftertreatment device without deteriorating driveability. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device capable of purifying exhaust gases 9 by the aftertreatment device 12 installed in an exhaust pipe 11 comprises a valve operation halting means making inoperative the valve opening operation of a part of cylinders 8 and a controller 15 cutting off the fuel injection of the part of the cylinders 8 by outputting halt instruction to the valve operation halting means in an operation area where an exhaust temperature is low and increasing the fuel injection of the rest of the cylinders 8 so that a reduction in torque can be compensated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
