<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide a service desired by a user by preventing unneeded radio waved from radiating. <P>SOLUTION: A detector 13 detects the adjacency or contact of an IC card 11. When the IC card 11 is detected, a PC 12 makes an antenna 15 radiate a radio wave. The antenna 15 receives a service code transmitted from the IC card 11 and supplies the received service code to the PC 12 through a reader/writer 14. The PC 12 starts an application program specified by the service code to execute prescribed processing. When the processing ends, the PC 12 makes the antenna 15 stop radiating a radio wave.
