The invention relates to a valvulotomy device, that is to say a device intended to be introduced into a section (2) of the vascular conduit with a view to disabling the valvules (3) which this conduit section contains. The device comprises at least one flexible and elongate body whose length is greater than that of the section (2) and whose external diameter is smaller than the internal diameter of the said section. The said body has two opposite ends, of which one, called the distal end, has a means (8) for disabling the valvules (3), the said body furthermore comprising an axial channel (11) of given diameter which opens out at these two opposite ends. This device is characterised in that it comprises a flexible rod (12) which, on the one hand, has a length at least equal to that of the body and an external diameter smaller than the diameter of the channel (11) of this body, and, on the other hand, has, at least at one of the two opposite ends, a rounded body (16), called the ogive, whose external diameter is smaller than the internal diameter of the section of vascular conduit. <IMAGE>
