Radio medical irradiation source and mounting based on a shielding casing with symmetrically operated pairs of blocks of shielding material forming a three dimensional iris which determines the shape and size of the radiation beam. Coupled to the same drive are two pairs of opaque plates in the path of an optical beam from an internal source which simulates the radiation beam in visible form. Reduced weight size and cost with increased effective yield.
