PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembly of an air bag device by providing a locking part for a retainer to which an air bag is attached, to a module cover with which the air bag is covered, so that the module cover is temporarily assembled to the retainer during the assembling step. CONSTITUTION:A locking part and a hooking part 30 are provided at each leg section 18a of a module cover 18. This hook part 30 is projected inward of the module cover 18, and can be locked to the front end face of an upright piece 16 on a retainer 10. That is, when the retainer 10 is covered thereover with the module cover 18, the leg section 18 slides along the upright piece 16 while it is resiliently warped, and finally, the hook part 30 is locked to the front end of the upright piece 16. Thus, even though a folded air bag is to push up the module cover 18, the module cover 18 does not come off from the retainer 10. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent coming-off of the module cover and bulking of the entire device. |
