PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mutual certificate authentication system capable of mutually authenticating a plurality of certificates with one-time communication route establishment processing, and suppressing the increase of time and computer resources for establishing a communication route, and suppressing the increase of a communication route management cost. SOLUTION: A client 101 being a communication route establishment demander transmits a communication route establishment demand to a server 201 and receives the plurality of certificates from the server. Then the certificates received from the server 201 are authenticated and a plurality of kinds of client certificates are transmitted to the server 201.
