PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve the electric field of an end part, to prevent the generation of partial discharge, and to improve the withstand voltage characteristics of the snubber circuit of a power converter by providing beveling, rounding, or curvature in opposing directions at each end part of opposing wide conductors being arranged in parallel. SOLUTION: In a power converter such as an inverter device where a self- quenching semiconductor element is applied, at each end part of a wide conductor 15 for connecting the cathode of opposing snubber diodes being arranged in parallel to the electrode of the snubber diodes and a wide conductor 16 for connecting the electrode of a snubber capacitor to the cathode of the self- quenching semiconductor element, beveling, rounding, or curvature is provided in opposite directions, thus relieving the electric field of the end part, preventing the generation of partial discharge, and hence improving the withstand voltage characteristics of the snubber circuit of the power converter. |
