PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch miniaturizing a whole body by shortening the axial directional length than that of a multiplate type clutch while securing a large frictional force. SOLUTION: A driving member 2 and a driven member 4 have a coaxial rotary central shaft N, the driving member 2 is formed with a wedge-shaped projection part 9 taperedly projecting toward the side of the driven member 4, and the driven member 4 is disposed with a friction member 11 formed with a V-shaped groove 13. The wedge effect exerted when the wedge-shaped projection part 9 is inserted in and press-contacted with the V-shaped groove 13 enlarges the frictional force between wedge-shaped projection part 9 and the V-shaped groove 13 so as to enlarge the transmission torque from the driving side to the driven side.
