PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and freely set up scanning width by controlling a practical irradiation range for turning on a laser beam in one scanning period scanned by a scanning mirror. SOLUTION: Comparators 11-3, 11-4 respectively judge the start timing and stop timing of laser irradiation in one scanning period based on the set values of registers 11-5, 11-6 and a counter 11-1. A mask signal generation circuit 11-7 and an AND gate 11-8 are used for generating a laser irradiation ON/OFF signal 5 to be turned on/off within one scanning period based on the start/stop timing to control the ON/OFF of a laser beam in one scanning. |
