PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make high working accuracy unnecessary and increase the amount of electrochemical reaction in a reaction electrode layer. SOLUTION: Each rib 32a of a gas separator 30a and each rib 32b of a gas separator 30b are formed so as to face at the tip of the each rib 32a and the tip of the each tip 32b through a reaction electrode layer 22, when the gas separators 30a, 30b are assembled in a fuel cell. The ribs 32a, 32b facing each other are arranged so that the centers 33a, 33b of the tips are slipped with respect to each that as viewed from an arrow C, and the tip surfaces are overlapped by about 1/4. Pressure applied to the reaction electrode layer 22 from both sides by the ribs 32a, 32b is applied only to a part corresponding to the overlapped part and does not apply to the whole part which comes into contact with the tips of the ribs 32a, 32b of the reaction electrode layer 22. |
