PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable microcapsular heat storage material dispersion not suffering from the rupture of microcapsule films even when exposed to flow, heat history and shear within a pump for a long term by adding a surfactant having a surface tension in a specified range to a dispersion of microcapsules containing a heat storage material. SOLUTION: A surfactant (e.g. sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate) which has a surface tension of 25-50dyn/cm when measured in a 1% (w/w) aqueous solution, desirably an anionic surfactant, more desirably a sulfate and/or a sulfonate is added to a dispersion of microcapsules containing a heat storage material and desirably having a particle diameter of 10μm or below, more desirably 5μm or below (e.g. dispersion obtained by emulsifying a heat storage material being n-pentadecane in an aqueous solution of an Na salt of a styrene/maleic anhydride copolymer under agitation, adding an aqueous solution of a malemine/ HCHO precondensate to the emulsion under agitation and adjusting the pH of the resulting emulsion). |
