A prefabricated box-like building construction see Fig. 4 (not shown), consists of an upper and lower metal framework 21-26 and 31-35 respectively interconnected by tubular uprights 27-30, 36, 37, the unit 1 being bolted to like adjacent units 2, 3 and similarly constructed roof units 4, 5, 6, see also Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown). Each unit "is provided with doors, floor and ceiling portions, outer walls, partitions and fittings as desired, see Figs. 1, 2, 3 (not shown). The outer walls such as 88, 92, Fig. 7, of adjacent units provided with a rubber coating 89 and are bolted together with a sealing strip 99 therebetween. The sealing strip and terminal flanges 97, 98, of the coating are clamped between projections 90, 94, 97, 98 on the uprights. The walls 88, 89 are additionally provided with interconnected horzontally- and vertically-corrugated panels 100, 101 respectively. The horizontal beams are of channel- or angle-section and the internal walls are bolted together with sealing strips therebetween, see Fig. 8 (not shown). |
