Lens guide for video camera - incorporates linear ball-bearing with max. adjustment path

The lens guide consists of a housing for a lengthways adjustable cylindrically circular lens carrier. The outer top surface (19) of the carrier (18) should form the track for balls (4a) of an open type linear ballbearing (4). The carrier is pref. adjusted in the housing (1) by a friction drive (15, 13, 14) whose friction wheel (14) bears on the top surface (19) of the carrier (18), pre-tensioned onto this by means of a spring (11) with the wheel shaft (13) roughly halfway along the linear ballbearing and fitted with a twist knob (15). USE/ADVANTAGE - Industrial monitoring, e.g. by video cameras in production. Linear ball bearing maximises adjustment path for carrier without housing confines, using friction wheel drive for positive adjustment.
