PURPOSE:To provide a binocular head mounted type video display device having a pupil width adjusting mechanism and a convergence angle adjusting mechanism interlocked with the pupil width adjusting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A gear plate 9 is on the lower surface of a holding frame 4 in which an ocular optical system is housed, and further a base plate 10 is on the lower surface of the gear plate 9. A supporting pin 11 and a guide pin 12 are provided on the base plate 10. The gear plate 9 is connected to a rotary gear 17 coupled with a dial 16. When the dial 16 is rotated to suit to the pupil width of an observer, the gear 17 is rotated and the gear plate 9 is moved. By fixing the supporting pin 11 on the gear plate 9 and the holding frame 4, the holding frame 4 is also moved with the movement of the gear plate 9, so that the pupil width is adjusted. As the holding frame 4 is moved, the guide pin 12 is moved along a guide groove 14 formed on the base plate 10 and the movement of the pin 12 causes the turning of the right and left holding frames 4 is a symmetrical direction, that is, the interlocking of the convergence angle. |
