PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a secondary battery, which can give a high capacity to the battery and can enhance flexibility of the battery. SOLUTION: This electrode is made up such that a current collector is coated with an electrode active material layer which is composed of an active material, flake graphite, and a binder. In this event, the central particle size of the graphite is caused to be larger than the central particle size of the active material, and the a following expression is satisfied, wherein r is a particle size of the active material, f(r) is particle size distribution of the active material, d is density of the active material, Sg is a specific surface area of the graphite according to the BET method, Ma is weight of the active material in the electrode coating film, and Mg is weight of the graphite.
