PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the disadvantage that a traveling direction such as reverse traveling cannot be known only by the visual data displayed on license plates 2 and 3, that a car body 1 loses its ownership when the number plates are separated therefrom and the car owner suffers a property loss, and that the license plates 2 and 3 may be subjected to theft, forgery or alteration, and misused for terrorist attacks, abduction, reckless driving or the like.SOLUTION: Visual data such as a seal, a logo sequence or a serial number displayed on a license plates 2 and 3 are simultaneously compared and collated based on the electronic data of an on-vehicle device to find a reverse-traveling vehicle or an unmatched vehicle, and in order to guarantee driver's safety and the ownership of a car body 1, a vehicle registration number to be presented is searched for and arranged to invalidate such an action as theft, forgery or alteration of the electronic license plates 2 and 3, thereby suppressing misuse for terrorist attacks, abduction, reckless driving or the like.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
