Cutting head has a cutting lever which can turn in a perp. plane in the cutting direction around a point which is spring-loaded in this plane, so that the cutter wheel, which is in a holder at the lower end of the lever and whose height is adjustable, can pivot, and is released against the front edge of the glass sheet by impingement of a disc which is freely movable at the rotation point of the lever and below it. In this position the wheel cannot cut when the head travels over the sheet lying under it. The wheel only cuts when, after running over the sheet and running back into its initial position, the lever is turned into a perpendicular position and is lifted by impingement of the rotatable disc on the back edge of the sheet, and its upper part travels against a fixed stop, so that further turning of the lever is prevented and the lower edge of the wheel lies deeper than the lower edge of the disc. |
