<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release a lock simply and easily under such state that an assembly is assembled to a car body element by temporarily locking after making the parking brake operation mechanism of a drum brake in an operation state and temporarily assembling a lock mechanism to the outer end of a parking brake operation wire. SOLUTION: A brake assembly BS is constituted at a brake production factory and installed to a car body element E by a fixing bolt B. When the inner end of the inner wire 8a of a parking brake operation wire 8 is connected to a brake lever and the outer end of the wire 8a is pulled against a return spring 9 and an elastic sleeve 10 with a C shape section is inserted from the side, a spindle 4 and brake drum 1 are locked. In the sleeve 10 made of rubber material, when the outer end of the wire 8a is pulled, the compression force of a return spring 9 in relation to the sleeve 10 is gone and the sleeve 10 is removed easily from the wire 8a to its lateral direction and a brake shoe 6 is separated from the inner surface of the brake drum 1. Therefore, a cost up can be made at minimum.</p> |
