PURPOSE: To facilitate setting of a core into metal molds and to easily install this core to a prescribed position by using a core supporting body which is formed by providing a mandrel with a collar part and rugged lines, thereby surely fixing the core without shifting and moving when the core is adhered to the mandrel. CONSTITUTION: The core 7 is adhered to the part of the metallic core 7 supporting body provided with the rugged lines 3 of the mandrel 1 while the core is molded of a maternal such as resin. The collar part 2 is fitted into recessed parts 10, 10 formed to face each other at the edges of the upper die 8 and lower die 9 of the metal molds, by which the core 7 is held in a cantilever state in the intermediate part of the metal molds. Molten metal is, thereupon, forcibly fed into the metal molds to mold the product. The cast product is taken out of the metal molds 8, 9 and the core 7 is removed after molding. The mandrel 1 is drawn out of the product by rotating the mandrel 1 in a direction reverse to right-hand screw threads if the rugged shapes 3 of the mandrel 1 are the right-hand screw threads. Oxygen is injected from the hole made after drawing out of the mandrel 1 into the product simultaneously with heating of the product, by which the form of the core 7 is collapsed and the core is discharged after the core is degraded to the original form. |
