<p>The furniture with aged effect is produced by preparing sheets of metal which are cut into panels and are smoothed or are etched with acid. An adhesive layer is applied to the surface being covered, and the metal is sheet very accurately placed on it. Decoration of reinforcement is nailed or otherwise fixed to the structure incorporating the sheet. Another tool carrier out embossing and the entire surface is treated with acid possessing a corrosiveness calculated to give the correct degree of ageing appearance to the article. Curves are cut by hand. The metal sheets used can be based on one or more metals to give an article of furniture several shades of colour.</p> |
