<p>PURPOSE:To provide a connection joint and its connection method in which the spigot portion of the joint is not damaged due to friction with the ground and also earth and sand or the like are not bitten in between the spigot and a connection hole, even if a process in which the joint is propelled underground in the state of non excavation is adopted. CONSTITUTION:A spigot 22 and an elastic seal material 5 are prevented from being damaged due to friction with the ground during being propelled underground by providing integrally a joint main body 2 that is equipped with the spigot 22 which has an elastic engage-stopping piece 24 at its tip and is arranged with the elastic seal material 5 at its periphery, and a tubular cover 3 that protects the spigot 22 and elastic seal material 5 portions of the joint main body 2 from the outside, and a connection hole is bored at a main pipe by means of the boring edge of a leading body, and at the same time a receiving portion 31 that extends out radially from the inner wall surface of the tubular cover 3 when a joint arrives at the main pipe and prevents the joint main body 2 from coming off to the main pipe side from the tubular cover 3 during propulsion, is removed by means of the receiving portion cutting edge of the leading body, and the joint main body 2 is pushed into the main pipe side through the tubular cover 3 inside, and the spigot 22 is fitted to a connection hole.</p> |
