ELECTRIC HEATING HONEYCOMB BODY

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide an electric heating honeycomb body capable of uniformly heating exhaust gas at sufficiently high temperature suitable for catalytic reaction in the front of a main catalyst having a monolithic type made of metal or ceramics in order to enhance purification capacity of exhaust gas purification device having the main catalyst as a principal constitutional element. CONSTITUTION:An electric heating type honeycomb body is constituted of at least two elemental honeycomb bodies (H1-Hn) prepared by laminating platelike band material and corrugated sheet material made of a thin-walled metallic plate so as to mutually abut. The respective elemental honeycomb bodies (H1-Hn) are adopted which are adjoined through the insulating material and electrically connected in series.
