The invention concerns an arrangement for measurement of moisture content in construction material. According to the invention the arrangement comprises a first layer 1 made of flexible material that is impermeable to water vapor, a second layer 2 that is permeable to water vapor and attached to the first layer 1, and a third layer 3 arranged between the first and second layers, containing a moisture indicating substance whose color varies according to relative moisture content. To determine moisture content in construction material, the arrangement can be positioned with its second layer 2 against the surface of the material intended for examination, in which the moisture indicator is quickly balanced in terms of moisture content with the construction material, in which the color of the moisture indicator shows the relative moisture content of the construction material. The moisture indicator consists, for example, of cobalt chloride or Congo red. The arrangement can be used for painting work, other coating work, especially flooring work, monitoring the moisture content in products in a warehouse or the moisture content of warehouse air and in conjunction with damage to determine and follow-up situations and to check if drying has been successful. <IMAGE>
