Method of spatial representing sectional images, especially ultrasound images

The method involves moving an image generating system over an object under examination, especially an organ in a patient. The recording unit of the system is pivoted about a fixed point arranged above the patient, to record an image and for a spatially aligned arrangement of the individual sectional images. The image data are detected simultaneously and are synchronised with the position data of the image generating system generated by sensor detection. The image data are combined into an image data volume. The structures sought in the image data volume are systematically located and interpreted with known computer based image processing methods.
