PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor provided with inexpensive and secure oil adhesion preventing structure to a rectifier. SOLUTION: A seal member sandwiching part 39a is installed in an oil splash preventing ring 39. The seal member sandwiching part 39a sandwiches a seal member 40 with a rotary shaft 32, and a thrust washer 36 is installed above them by inserting it through the rotary shaft 32. A clearance B is formed with the bearing 21 of a stator 11. Magnetic centers of a rotor 31 and the stator 11 are shifted and the distance A is made to be larger than the clearance B where the seal member moves to a thrust direction.
